Founded in 2012 by Nico Keyes, Aboutwood is the realization of the collective vision of three intrepid South African entrepreneurs. Nico, Michael Hepburn, and Warren Nel have turned their shared passion for the time-honored tradition of handmade carpentry into a highly respected furniture manufacturer in Johannesburg.

Over the past decade, Aboutwood has made a name for itself as a specialist bespoke furniture manufacturer and shopfitting services. The company has worked with some incredible interior designers to deliver custom projects for the residential, leisure, and corporate markets. “We have been privileged to be involved in some challenging projects around the country to deliver bespoke pieces for a wide range of residential, leisure, and corporate installations. We have taken all that we have learned over the years to develop the About Wood Collection, which we will be launching to the public at Decorex In Johannesburg,” says co-owner, Warren.
